The Benish College Center is a space created as a resource for students and parents during the college search and application process. College view books, college recruitment software, college applications, scholarship forms, and general resources are readily available.
The center offers:
- Six computers which provide the opportunity for college searches via CX online and career interest inventories. Student who use this can create portfolios and store resumes electronically for future use along with finding online college applications.
- Handbooks on colleges and the application process
- Career guidebooks
- College and University course catalogs, view books, and applications
- College and University videos
- Scholarship and financial aid information
Students may visit with college representatives in the Benish College Center - hundreds visit Marian Catholic each year - or you can meet with one of three college counselors in seminar sessions in the college center.
The College Center is opened in the evening several times throughout the year for parent use. Specific programs are also offered for parents, topics include "Applying to Highly Selective Colleges and Universities," "College Application Help Night," "Financial Aid," "Sending Your First Child to College", and "Transitions to the First Year College Experience."
Student-athletes who would like to play their sport at a Division I or II college or university are advised to consult the NCAA Clearinghouse Initial Eligibility website. The eligibility form should be filled out online AFTER Junior year. |
