2007-08 Mothers Club Activities
September 6 - Back to School Night
This evening for parents is a great opportunity to join the Mothers’ Club. Stop by our table near the Cafeteria and meet our officers. Volunteers are needed for setup and cleanup. Sophomore parents contribute finger foods on disposable plates.
September 16 – Mothers’ Retreat
Based on the Kairos retreat format, join us for a morning of prayer and reflection.
October 9 at 7:00 p.m. - Get Acquainted Meeting (Cafeteria)
At this welcome meeting for both newcomers and our loyal members from past years, we will play Bunco and give away prizes. If you have any questions, please call Sharon Stillman at 219-365-4365.
November 13 at 7:00 p.m. - "Make & Take" Holiday Craft (Cafeteria) Create a free holiday craft and enjoy conversation, raffles and refreshments. Don’t worry – it will be simple and fun! At this meeting, we will accept donations of Senior Showcase/Fashion Show raffle prizes valued at or above $15 as we begin preparations for our big event in March.
December 2 at 10:00 a.m. - 8th Grade Open House
Our volunteers bring and serve refreshments to prospective families. Freshmen – donate desserts. Juniors & Seniors donate appetizers.
December 13 at 7:00 p.m. - Silver Tea to Honor the Sisters
- During this special night dedicated to our Dominican Sisters, we will be accepting donations for the Sisters to show our gratitude for their involvement in our Marian community.
- Marian Singers perform in the Chapel. Guests are welcome!
- Please use the Ashland Avenue/Guidance Door entrance.
- Members, please bring an appetizer or dessert to share.
January 22 at 7:00 p.m. - “Working” Fashion Show Meeting in the Cafeteria
Roll up your sleeves and help fold and mail invitations, make centerpieces or whatever needs to be done for the upcoming Senior Showcase/Fashion Show. Refreshments and conversation make it an enjoyable evening. Donations of raffle prizes valued at or above $15 are accepted to be awarded at the Fashion Show.
March 15 at 11:00 a.m. - Senior Showcase/Fashion Show at Georgio’s in Orland Park
Volunteers are needed for many Committees. Contact Sharon Stillman at 219-365-4365 if you have any questions or to show your support. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable event!
April 15 at 7:00 p.m. – Appreciation Reception
Mothers’ Club Board personally invites this year’s volunteers to a “Thank You” party.
May 6 at 7:00 p.m. - May Crowning in the Chapel
May Crowning ceremony and Installation of Mothers’ Club Officers.
May 9- Prom/Post Prom
Chaperones are needed for our Junior/Senior after-Prom event on board the “Mystic Blue” boat cruise on Lake Michigan.
