 Marian offers $100 - $2,200 awards to incoming freshman to recognize superior performance. To qualify, the student must score in the top 99th percentile nationally on the Placement Test, and be recommended by his or her grade school principal for highest standards of character and effort. Scholarship amounts are determined by local percentiles with 99th percentile locally earning the largest amounts.
At the January 2005 testing, 43 students scoring at the 99th percentile nationally qualified for small scholarships; 13 more scoring at the 99th percentile, both nationally and locally, qualified for $2,200 scholarships if the student's character was endorsed by the junior high faculty. Any accepted student below the 82nd percentile nationally was considered conditionally registered pending successful completion of summer school.

Financial aid is available to families of students in good academic and disciplinary standing through a program funded by the Dominican Sisters. Parents must apply annually for this aid by completing a financial aid form and mailing it along with a processing fee and tax return to an outside agency which reviews these requests. The financial aid forms are available at the time of registration in February. Parents will be notified in late May of any awarded grants. Families receiving aid can expect grants from $200 to one-third of tuition. Aid is posted as the payment is received. Need-based endowed scholarships are not usually available to Frosh. The academic scholarships (based on entrance testing as explained above) are not need-based.
