The Lt. Commander Patrick J. Murphy '81 Memorial Scholarship at Marian Catholic High School honors Pat Murphy for the way he lived his life in service to his God, his country, and his family.
In accordance with the wishes of Patrick's family, this annual Scholarship is restricted to a young person who has suffered the loss of a parent through death or divorce.
Marian Catholic High School appreciates being able to establish The Lt. Commander Patrick J. Murphy '81 Memorial Scholarship. Let it be a living tribute, a yearly reminder of lives lived in courage in the midst of pain.
Let neither terror nor sadness rob us of the power of the goodness in Patrick J. Murphy.
 In addition to the scholarship, the flagpole on the football field was dedicated to him by his football teammates with a plaque placed at the flagpole and also in a public spot in the West Gym lobby on Marian's campus.
