COLLEGE DAY

On January 9, 2008 last year’s Marian graduates came back for College Day. Current Juniors got the opportunity to hear about the “real” side of college life. College Freshmen (and Sophomores) explained the ins and outs of dorm life, dorm food, dealing with roommates, course selection, social life, and other extra-curricular activities, as well as financial aid, transportation issues and being away from home. The new format of one grad to a lunch table of 8-10 worked very well. Students came prepared with questions and were able to talk with grads from a variety of colleges. Every effort is made to try and accurately represent small colleges, medium sized universities and large universities.
