|Joey Cifelli captured the 2014 and 2015 IHSA state diving championship, setting a state-record score this year. It was Marian's 11th and 12th individual state titles in Athletics.

Marian Catholic considers athletic participation a valuable part of its student activities program. The Spartans of Marian compete inter-scholastically in the Illinois High School Association. Both the boys' and girls' programs participate in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.

Marian Catholic High School occasionally seeks individuals to fill several coaching positions. Candidates must have a valid teaching certificate or ASEP certification. Marian is currently seeking candidates for assistant cross country. Currently (May 2015), there are limited teaching positions available.
