OCT. 6: Joe Brunner shot an 83 on Tuesday at a rainy Balmoral Woods, finishing fourth overall and pacing Marian Catholic to a third-place overall finish in the TF South Regional as the Spartans qualified for next Monday's Mount Carmel IHSA Sectional at Glenwoodie.
Marian totaled 365 as a team, finishing behind only champion Homewood-Flossmoor (332) and Sandburg (345).
Dave Rainford added a 92 for the Spartans, Rob Grossi carded 93 and Austin Konieczka 97.
Sophomores: The Spartans scored 380 to capture third place in the St. Rita Tournament on Oct. 3 paced by Zach Peick (third place) with 87, Zach Zajac with 93, Garrett Zavesky with 94 and Craig Zavesky with 106.
