Marian (24-7-1) falls to Marist
in regional title contest

   Marian Catholic was denied its second straight regional title on May 30, as ESCC rival Marist handed the Spartans a 5-1 loss in the title contest of the Bloom Class 4A regional.
   Alexis Funk was 2-for-4 with an RBI to pace the offense for the Spartans (24-7-1), while Becca Gray walked four times and scored the Marian run and Julie Rzeszutko went 1-for-3 with a double.
  Sophomores: The Spartans fell to the Celtics, despite two hits each from Ellen Quinn (two RBI) and Molly Dettmann (two runs).
