Private College Counseling Sessions for Juniors and Parents

A college rep visits Marian studentsThe College Counseling Department at Marian Catholic offers a free and important service to students and their parents starting in February.  In inviting Juniors and their parents to make a college counseling appointment in the late spring and summer, there is time to look at student interests, test scores, course work, and parental commitment and concerns.

Counselors help the student with approaches to applications and scholarships, offer suggestions of universities the students or parents may not have considered, and assist with specific strategies.  While the application process remains firmly rooted in the responsibility of the student, the summer session is a wonderful opportunity for the student, parent, and counselor to meet to smooth the process.

A parent may register for an appointment online by downloading the College Counseling Request Form (8kb) and submitting it to the college counseling office. The request form will be available in January.
