“COLLEGE IS A MATCH TO BE MADE, NOT A PRIZE TO BE WON”
- FRANK SACHS
Marian Catholic students have a Counselor through Junior year and “add” a College Counselor during the second semester of Junior year. They fully transition to a College Counselor for Senior year.
College Counselors assist Junior in scheduling their Senior courses.
Personalized college counseling conferences are provided for Junior students and their families from February through May.
Marian Catholic utilized Naviance on an online comprehensive college and career readiness program to help students make the right decisions about their academic journey. Students are able to search for career and college information as well as track submission of college application related documents. Through Naviance Student, students and their families can communicate via email with their counselors on specific topics of interest.
Representatives from over 100 colleges and universities visit Marian Catholic each year, including Brown University, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Michigan, the University of Southern California and Tulane University.
