Spartans (6-7) close campaign 
with setback to Whitney Young 

M basketballMARCH 11- Jeremiah Jones tallied a game-high 18 points on Thursday, but host Marian Catholic closed out its season with a 62-51 nonconference setback to top-ranked Whitney Young.

Eddie Barrett added eight points for the Spartans, who concluded the campaign with a 6-7 mark. Quentin Jones chipped in six points, while Tre Davis and Jeremiah Smith (five rebounds) both added four markers.

Sophs: The young Spartans concluded the campaign with a 61-58 double-overtime victory over Whitney Young.

Frosh: Marian's A Squad (8-1) topped ESCC foe Notre Dame, 47-36, while the B Team fell to the Dons, 30-25.

AZ Republic: Suns rookie PG Ulis making most of rotation opportunity

CONGRATS! Alum Tyler Ulis (Kentucky) named SEC Player of the Year. On June 23, 2016, Ulis was the 34th pick in the NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns.
