May 12- Despite banging out 16 hits on Thursday, host Marian Catholic fell behind 9-0 in the opening inning and eventually dropped an 18-14 nonconference slugfest with Illiana Christian. The Spartans were unable to overcome seven errors and eight walks. Josh Bell went 4-for-5 with a double and four RBI to ignite the offense, while Richard Redding was 3-for-3 and Lloyd Mills homered and knocked in four runs.
