Visual Arts
Creating art with a purpose and building community through the arts is a constant in visual art classes at Marian Catholic.
Visual arts classes offer unique, hands-on, project-based learning opportunities for students. Exploring art and creativity can serve many purposes: aesthetics, history and culture, communication, skill building and discovery, design and engineering, careers, spiritual, functional, self-expression, and therapy.
It is important for students to have choice and voice in their learning, and to build an engaging learning community for all. Visual art is a universal language, whether it be drawing, painting, building pottery, or designing digitally; students can communicate and explore their thoughts and feelings.
"It is my goal to create a welcoming, encouraging and engaging experience for all of my students. I am thankful to be teaching and creating with my students."
