The following dress code applies Monday through Thursday for each week of the school year. Friday’s are “Spirit Days” and students may wear any Marian Catholic apparel on top with dress code Khaki or black slacks, shorts, or skirts on the bottom. Marian Catholic dress code polo shirts, spirit wear, and outerwear items are available for purchase from the
Spartan Shop. Dress code pants, shorts, and skirts may be purchased from any retail store as long as they meet the requirements below.
Shirts: Students must wear a Marian Catholic logoed polo shirt (short or long-sleeved) or a Marian Catholic logoed Oxford-style shirt.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts: Students must wear Khaki slacks (traditional classic cut or relaxed fit, chino style or Dockers style, cotton-twill), knee-length Khaki chino style shorts, or knee-length Khaki skirts.
Not permitted: Pants/shorts/skirts of any color other than Khaki, yoga pants, leggings, jeggings, sweatpants, cargo pants, track pants, denim jeans, jean-style slacks of any color, biker shorts, cargo shorts, denim or jean-style shorts or any color.
Outerwear: Over their Marian polo shirt, students may wear either a Marian-approved jacket with the Marian
school logo only on the chest OR a Marian-approved quarter-zip with the Marian
school logo only on the chest. Other writing, imagery, or logos may not appear on dress code outerwear clothing. Jackets and quarter-zips may only be in the colors of black, white, or grey. The collar of the Marian polo shirt must always be visible at the neck.
Shoes: Students must wear an enclosed dress shoe or athletic shoe.
Not permitted: Sandals, flip-flops, slides, Crocs, or Yeezy-style shoes.
Hair: Haircuts are to be appropriate for school or a professional environment. Hair must be worn in such a way that the student’s eyes and face are not covered. Primary hair color must be a naturally occurring hair color. Dyed/colored highlights should be appropriate for a professional environment. Facial hair must be neatly groomed and kept to no longer than one inch in length.
Jewelry: Students may wear earrings, finger rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Students may wear small/modest earrings in the ear or nose; other piercings are not allowed.
Not permitted: Extreme jewelry is not allowed. Jewelry with spikes, studs, or inappropriate images, gauges are not allowed.
Note: Tattoos must not be visible and must be completely covered during the school day.
Student IDs: Students must wear their current school-issued photo ID around the neck on the school-issued lanyard. IDs must be visible as the outermost layer at all times while in the school building.
